Back up your discs,
the FizzDisk way.

FizzDisk is a modern backup tool for Windows. Back up your Blu-ray UHD movies, DVDs and CDs — scan every title and stream and save them losslessly to MKV and FLAC with no effort, all in seconds. Fully standalone: its own disc parsers, bundled decryption and ffmpeg, nothing else to install.

Automatically cataloged & organized for you

No sorting, no typing. FizzDisk fetches the movie title, year and poster from the disc, names your files Title (Year), saves the poster alongside — and drops every backup into a Jellyfin-ready folder structure automatically, so it's ready to stream with zero manual organizing.

One app does it all — no more installing five tools

Ripping discs used to mean juggling a separate ripper, a decryptor, an encoder and a metadata scraper. FizzDisk replaces that whole stack. One installer reads your Blu-rays, DVDs and CDs, decrypts protected discs, rips exactly the video, audio and subtitle tracks you choose, and outputs MKV or FLAC/MP3 — all in one place. One app, every disc, nothing else to install.

Everything you need to back up your discs

FizzDisk is fully self-contained — its own disc parsers, its own decryption libraries and a bundled ffmpeg. No commercial tools, no installed runtimes, no accounts. One app does it all — you no longer need separate apps to back up your Blu-rays, DVDs and CDs. Download, run, back up.

💿

Back up any disc

Blu-ray, UHD 4K, DVD and CDs — a real drive, an ISO image, a VIDEO_TS/BDMV folder, or a single media file.

🧩

Clean-room parsers

Hand-written DVD IFO (TT_SRPT/VTS_PGCIT) and Blu-ray MPLS playlist parsers scan the disc structure from scratch — no other project's parser code.

🎚️

Full stream inspection

Video, audio and subtitle tracks per title with codec, language, resolution and quality — so you know exactly what you're backing up.

⚡

Lossless MKV backup

Stream-copy by default: fast backups, zero quality loss. Uncheck the box to re-encode (H.264 / x264 / AAC) when you want smaller files.

🎵

CDs perfected

CDs rip to FLAC and/or MP3 with paranoia error correction, automatic MusicBrainz titles and cover art — a clean copy, every time.

🎞️

Compress as you rip

Encode your video (H.264 / x264) and audio (AAC, MP3, FLAC) right during the rip — every encoder is bundled, so you get much smaller files with no additional software to install.

Four steps to a perfect backup

1

Pick a source

Choose a drive letter, ISO, folder or file and click Scan.

2

⚠ Opening it for the first time? Windows may show a "Windows protected your PC" screen because FizzDisk isn't code-signed. That's normal — click More info → Run anyway to continue. If Windows won't open the file at all, right-click it → Properties → Unblock. And if the file disappears or Windows Defender flags it, open Windows Security → Virus & threat protection → Protection history, find FizzDiskSetup.exe, and click Restore (then Allow on this device).
